Yes. Paste a TikTok, Instagram Reels, or Facebook video URL and we fetch its captions. For podcasts: Apple Podcasts episode URLs and direct MP3 links work — we transcribe the audio with Whisper. Spotify podcasts are locked behind their app, so we can't access them directly; try the same show on Apple Podcasts instead.
Short episodes (under ~15 min) usually transcribe in a single request. Longer episodes may time out — just hit Unmute again a minute later and we'll pick up the now-finished transcription from the provider. Full async support for multi-hour episodes is on the roadmap.
We cache transcripts by video ID for 30 days so repeat requests are free and fast. Caches aren't tied to you — see our privacy policy for full detail.
