Is this legal?

We fetch captions that YouTube creators (or YouTube's auto-caption system) have already published publicly. We don't host, stream, or redistribute the video. You're responsible for how you use the transcripts — respect copyright and YouTube's terms.

Will it work on any video?

Any public video with captions from YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, or X — manual or auto-generated. If captions are disabled or the post is private, we can't transcribe it.

How do I get my Pro license after purchase?

Stripe completes checkout, then within ~30 seconds an email from hi@unmute.video arrives with your license key (ytp_XXXX-…). Paste it into the Pro field at the top of this page — Pro is unlocked instantly. Works across devices.

What's the refund policy?

14 days, no questions. Email hi@unmute.video with your receipt and we'll refund you.

Does it work on TikTok, Instagram, or Facebook videos?

Yes — paste a TikTok, Instagram Reels, or Facebook video URL and we'll fetch its captions. Multi-platform support is new; some videos without captions (common on short vertical formats) can't be transcribed.

Do you store my transcripts?

We cache transcripts by video ID for 30 days so repeat requests are free and fast. Caches aren't tied to you — see our privacy policy for full detail.
